LINCOLN – Lincoln Electric System invites customers to view online the 2017 construction projects taking place in and around Lincoln.
“Some of the construction projects planned for this year are new, but most are continued from previous years. They are all needed to renew, upgrade or expand the electric system so our customer-owners continue receiving the same reliable supply of low-cost energy,” said Ron Kratzer, LES manager of system planning.
The construction projects up for discussion range from underground and overhead distribution lines to numerous upgrades needed for existing power generation facilities. “Because of aging infrastructure, LES is trying to stay ahead of issues, so we can provide the level of service our customers depend on,” Kratzer said.
LES customers can view all construction projects aligned with the city of Lincoln’s Capital Improvement Plan online, along with maps, Kratzer said.
