An environmental career chose me, and I chose LES because it was a company that provided a nexus between two of my core values: public power and environmental protection.

Since 2000, I have been part of a team that supports the environmental aspects of LES’ day-to-day operation — anything from oil spills to creating risk management programs for some of our materials with special properties. We review regulations, procure permits, do a little of everything.

My job is both personally and professionally rewarding. The philosophy of public power is something I find very attractive. As a public power provider, LES is vested with serving the interests of our customer/owners, and conducting business in a manner that is protective of the natural environment is a responsibility LES takes seriously.

I work with some of the best people I know — hard-working, dedicated, knowledgeable and always available to walk me through something I don’t understand. I just couldn’t ask for a better place to be.

LES is a great place to work — it’s a place where you get to have a real history with the projects you work on and the people you work with. Plus, I would be hard pressed to find a community I feel more attached to or more grateful for; I was raised in Lincoln.
