Salary Range

$128,574 to $152,682 annually, depending upon skills and
qualifications (80% - 95% of midpoint for Vice President)
Position Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar field and 10
years of progressively responsible experience, including either years of
management experience in area of assignment or an equivalent combination of
education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties
of the job such as those listed below.

Master’s degree in business administration, public administration
or a related field preferred
-
CPA preferred
-
Knowledge of the following:
-
Accounting practices in an electric utility
-
Application of FERC accounting requirements
-
Processes involved in executing financings
-
Management and leadership principles
-
Utilities operations
-
Accounting and financial management principles
-
Applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, rules and
regulations
Essential Functions
-
Develops, implements and evaluates departmental policies,
procedures, strategies and goals; maintains, updates and ensures procedural
compliance for mandated programs
-
Directs and participates in the preparation of departmental
budgets, financial reports and operational and capital improvement budgets;
monitors revenues and expenditures
-
Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations for cost-effective
improvements in the budget or departmental operations; designs, administers and
evaluates departmental programs and services
-
Directs the efforts of contractors and consultants through
various phases of special projects for the organization
-
Provides advice in area of expertise to management; serves on
advisory bodies representing the organization
-
Implements strategic plan directions and initiatives; develops
means and methods for benchmarking and performance measurement
-
Facilitates, leads and participates in meetings and committees;
represents the department and organization at meetings and conferences; serves
as a liaison between departments, external organizations, the general public and
other agencies
-
Supervises employees by prioritizing and assigning work; conducts
performance evaluations; ensures staff are trained; and makes hiring,
termination and disciplinary decisions
