
Payment Arrangements

LES' policy is to do whatever is necessary to help customers pay their electric bills when facing financial difficulties.
Assistance includes referral to other agencies for help or setting up payment plans. You can contact
customer service at 402-473-3365 for more information.
Energy Assistance Fund
Through Lincoln Action Program (LAP), customers having difficulty paying their electric bill may apply to receive an LES voucher by calling LAP at 402-471-4515 and asking for the Crisis Unit.
Income Eligibility Programs
The Lancaster County Department of Social Services Crisis Management Unit offers a variety of assistance programs.

You may apply for emergency help through the Salvation Army HeatShare Program only after contacting Nebraska
Health and Human Services
(402-471-2306). The Salvation Army is located at 2625 Potter Street and is open 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (by appointment only). Call 402-477-9276.
Helpful Alternative
Customers may designate that a third party (family member, friend or neighbor) also be notified in the event a disconnect notice is issued. A third party's concern may be all that is needed in some situations.
