LINCOLN - Lincoln Electric System recently launched a new YouTube channel aimed at providing customers helpful tips about saving money by saving energy, said Assistant Counsel and Vice President Shelley Sahling-Zart.
"Our YouTube videos are another way LES is attempting to reach out to customers in even more convenient and accommodating ways to get our messages to them," she said. "We hope customers will check them out and implement the strategies to lower their energy use and reduce their bills."
Sahling-Zart said many electric utilities now use social media in a variety of ways, but LES' approach is different from most. "We intend to use the site in a broader capacity by giving customers helpful tips that can really make a difference in their pocketbooks. We expect to add additional information in the future."
The LES Video Vault (www.youtube.com/lesvideovault) also provides easy-to-understand, how-to videos to maximize the efficiency of appliances around consumers' homes, she said.
"The launch of the LESVideoVault YouTube channel represents a new way to communicate with our customers in a new space," Sahling-Zart said. "We're increasingly looking ahead to provide more useful and dynamic content for our customers where they are spending more and more of their time."
The videos were shot and edited by 5 City TV, the City of Lincoln's government cable access channel, and feature LES Energy Services Specialist Jay Stoa and host Ryan Kathman.
More information on the LES YouTube channel can be found at www.youtube.com/lesvideovault.
