LINCOLN - Possible routes for a 115-kilovolt transmission line called the Central Lincoln Reliability Project are now available on Lincoln Electric System's website in preparation for open houses June 23, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m., at the Lincoln High School cafeteria, north entrance at 2229 J Street, said LES Vice President of Energy Delivery Dan Pudenz.
The maps can be found on www.les.com by clicking on Central Lincoln Reliability Project.
"Based on input from federal, state and local agencies, stakeholders and customer/owners, LES has identified possible routes that will connect four substations at 56th and Everett, 30th and A, a new substation at 21st and N, and 17th and Holdrege," he said.
All customer concerns, including options of placing the new 115 kV transmission line overhead or underground, will help to narrow possible routes and determine the final, preferred route recommendations, Pudenz said. That is why all LES customer/owners are encouraged to attend the open house meeting.
The same material will be available at each session, Pudenz said, including GIS mapping stations that will provide impacted customers a detailed map of potential routes in their area.
