Construction projects Transmission
115-kV transmission line rebuild SW 33rd Street & Denton Road
to the Sheldon Station near Hallam, Neb.
Overview
LES will be upgrading the 115-kilovolt
transmission line
that runs between SW 33rd Street & Denton Road and the
Sheldon
Station near Hallam, Neb.
The existing line was installed in 1968 and is
reaching the end of its useful life. The upgrade will improve
reliability by
replacing the more than 40-year-old existing
wood H-frame structures with
single shaft steel poles.
The purpose of this project is to:
-
Replace deteriorating poles and wires.
-
Increase the amount of power the line is able to
transmit.
-
Improve system reliability.
