Internships & Job Shadow Program

Internships & co-ops

If you're a full-time college student, come gain real work experience and make a difference in the community by being an LES intern or co-op. You'll gain experience in an area that aligns with your goals and talents while working for one of the nation's leading public power utilities. Internships and co-ops are full-time summer and semester commitments. (We'll work with class schedules during the semester!) However, some interns stay longer dependent upon that department's needs and availability of the student.

Internships and co-ops are posted as regular job openings and go through the same application and selection process as full-time jobs. Work on challenging projects, build a professional network and learn from some of the best minds in the industry — become an LES intern or co-op today!

Internship opportunities in these divisions:

  • Communications.
  • Financial Services.
  • Power Supply (projects).
  • Technology Services (enterprise resource planning, GIS-CAD, communications infrastructure, infrastructure & governance, cybersecurity).

Co-op opportunities:

  • Utility line.
  • Engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil).
