EdITH is LES' new Educational Interactive Tiny House. She is part of LES’ ongoing community outreach efforts, designed to demonstrate sustainable energy technologies in the home with real-world examples.
EdITH was born from the idea that education and sustainability go hand in hand. To maintain a lasting community, we need to be sure everyone has the chance to learn how to make safe, sustainable choices around electricity. She provides an opportunity for customers to learn about sustainable energy technologies included in the LES Sustainable Energy Program, like choosing the right insulation, water heater or light bulbs; and in LES Peak Rewards, solar power and more at events throughout the community.
EdITH was completed in February 2020 and features interactive displays that demonstrate how residential customers can make sustainable energy choices in their homes. She is a gal on the move, so be sure to look for her at community events around town! With her help, LES will continue striving to be the world’s best energy company.
Do you have a large event with the space for EdITH to visit? Email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the possibility of a visit.
This community collaboration represents the power of partnerships between industry and education to create state-of-the-art learning and career training opportunities for students, community members and employees in a way that gives our community an advantage in the future.
LES and The Career Academy — a joint venture between Lincoln Public Schools and Southeast Community College — are preparing our community to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come.
