LES' alerts & notifications service allows customers to sign up for automated email and text-message notifications on these topics: 

  • New bill statement and payment past due.
  • Payment due.
  • Payment posted.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, this opt-in service for email and text-message notifications does not notify participants of scheduled or unscheduled power outages relating to LES transmission/distribution system repair/maintenance work.

How do I register to receive alerts and notifications?

To sign up for email or text-message alerts, go to our online bill-pay portal and SIGN IN if you already have an online account, or SIGN UP if you don’t yet have one. Then, visit Notifications and Reminders to add email or cellphone contact information and select the alerts you wish to receive for each contact. 

PLEASE NOTE: To participate, you must accept the terms and conditions during the registration process.

To receive text alerts on your cellphone, you must have a text-messaging plan from your service provider. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your text-messaging service, including information about any charges or fees you may incur.

When you select the alerts you want to receive, you will need to enter the activation code sent via text to verify your cellphone number. Upon verification, your text alerts will be activated. Message and data rates may apply. To change your subscriptions, sign in to our online bill-pay portal and visit Notifications and Reminders.

How do I stop alerts?

To stop alerts, first sign in to our online bill-pay portal. Then, visit Notifications and Reminders to change your email or text subscriptions. To stop text reminders, you also may send a STOP text to 99708 at any time.

How are alerts delivered?

The alert messages you receive are automated based on your selected preferences. Please do not send questions or issues to the short code 99708. For questions or issues, contact our Customer Services team at 402.475.4211 or [email protected] Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Outside of these hours, you may email [email protected]. Emails sent outside of these hours will be read the next business day and answered within two business days.

What is a short code?

A short code is a 5- or 6-digit number to which text messages can be sent from a cellphone. LES’ short code is 99708.

Is there a fee to receive alerts & notifications?

LES does not charge a fee for you to receive our alerts. However, your carrier may charge you to send and receive text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your text-messaging service, including information about any charges or fees you may incur.

How do I reach a live representative with questions or issues?
