The alerts and notifications service of the LES online system provides customers with automated emails and, if opted in, text-message notifications on important account-related topics including:

  • New bill statement.
  • Payment due.
  • Payment past due.
  • Payment posted.
  • Start/Stop/Transfer service request.
  • More.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, these email and text-message notifications do not notify participants of scheduled or unscheduled power outages relating to LES transmission/distribution system repair/maintenance work.

How do I register to receive alerts and notifications?

To receive emails and/or sign up for text-message alerts, go to our online system and SIGN IN if you already have an online account, or CREATE ACCOUNT if you don’t yet have one. By default, email notifications are sent to the primary email address associated with the account. You also can navigate to My Account > Notification Preferences to change or add additional email addresses to receive these notifications, as well as to opt into receiving text-message notifications for the alerts you wish to receive for each account. 

PLEASE NOTE: To participate, you must accept the terms and conditions during the registration process. To receive text-message notifications, you must additionally agree to the notification terms for texts in the Notification Preferences page in the online system. 

To receive text alerts on your cellphone, you must have a text-messaging plan from your service provider. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your text-messaging service, including information about any charges or fees you may incur.

How do I stop alerts?

To stop alerts, first sign in to our online system. Then, visit My Account > Notification Preferences to change your email or text subscriptions. To stop text reminders, you also may text STOP to 46805 at any time.

Can I respond to the alerts I receive?

No. Please do not reply to the [email protected] email address or the short code 46805. For questions or issues, contact our Customer Services team at 402.475.4211 or [email protected] Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Outside of these hours, you may email [email protected]. Emails sent outside of these hours will be read the next business day and answered within two business days.

What is a short code?

A short code is a 5- or 6-digit number to which text messages can be sent from a cellphone. LES’ short code is 46805.

Is there a fee to receive alerts & notifications?

LES does not charge a fee for you to receive our alerts. However, your carrier may charge you to send and receive text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless provider if you have questions regarding your text-messaging service, including information about any charges or fees you may incur.

How do I reach a live representative with questions or issues?
